Colorado State University will undergo a comprehensive accreditation evaluation visit Feb. 23-25, 2004, by the Higher Learning Commission, the agency responsible for providing institutional accreditation throughout the North-Central region of the United States. The public is invited to submit comments to the HLC regarding Colorado State's qualifications and merit for continuing accreditation.

Leaders of Colorado State University's renowned Little Shop of Physics educational outreach program are traveling to Belize Jan. 5-9 loaded with computers, software, instruction manuals and related equipment to set up a science lab at Saint John's College and teach the school's faculty modern instruction methods. The Little Shop staff will also be leading a variety of college science classes and conducting outreach educational programs at area K-12 schools.

The Fort Collins, Loveland and Colorado State University communities will unite for activities in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 10 and Jan. 19. Events on Jan. 19 will include a one-mile march from the Oval to Old Town, with programs at the Colorado State University Bookstore and the Durrel Center before the march, and a program that evening in Loveland. On Jan. 10, Colorado State University Apartment Life will host a gathering. The theme of this year's celebration is "Courage to Build a Community of Peace."
