Colorado State University Business Program to Host Annual Fundraiser at Cycling Championship in Fort Collins May 9

FORT COLLINS - Colorado State University's business college master's program, the Global Social and Sustainable Enterprise, will hold its first "Community Ride" fundraiser Saturday, May 9 as part of the USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championship in Fort Collins.

Early registration is recommended. Cost is $50 for adults and $25 for children ages 13 to 17; the event is free for children under age 12 accompanied by an adult.

After April 1, registration increases by $10. To register, go to (970) 491-6937 or http://www.gsseride.org/Event_Details.html.

Three routes will be offered for 2009, including 15-, 42- and 62-mile rides around Fort Collins. This event will become an annual event.  One hundred percent of the proceeds will be used to support international students and projects.

The GSSE Program seeks to provide sustainable enterprise solutions to some of the most stubborn issues facing the world including poverty, disease, malnutrition and environmental degradation.  Students are provided with the appropriate training, experience and character necessary to create and operate for-profit and nonprofit startups, nongovernmental organizations, and to work in multinational companies that champion social and environmental objectives while delivering solid returns on investment.
